We have had reports of cyber criminals imitating court telephone numbers (“spoofing”) and demanding that citizens pay money for fines or fees in cases involving relatives. These calls are not valid. New Mexico Courts will never call citizens to ask for payments of any kind.

CLI

The Children’s Law Institute or CLI is a branch of the Southwest Region National Child Protection Training Center at New Mexico State University.

They are committed to the training and education of New Mexico’s agencies and professionals charged with the great responsibility of providing resources to the families of New Mexico.

Our mission is to end child and adult abuse, neglect, and other forms of maltreatment in three generations through education, training, awareness, prevention, advocacy and the pursuit of justice”.

CLI is the result of the hard work, collaboration, and planning of leaders from every sector of our child welfare and juvenile justice community. Every January, the Children’s Court Improvement Commission collaborates with New Mexico State University and other state agencies to sponsor the CLI Conference in Albuquerque. This event is a highly attended conference which provides a platform and resource for the providers of services throughout the state.

This year’s conference will be held virtually, January 13th – 15th, and will featured many inspiring guest speakers, workshops and vendor pages. See the link below to register.
